Cooperation activities between Research Institute for Aquaculture No.1 and University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic

The University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic and the Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 1, with the sponsorship of the Eramus Mobility Program, have had many scientific exchange activities, enabling researchers to study in Vietnam and Czech.

In the framework of this program, in November 2019, a team of researchers and training management includes Dr. Tomas Policar, Dr. Prchal Martin and Ms. Lucie Kańćerová have worked with RIA1 regarding research and training in aquaculture.

The two sides held a seminar introducing the research activities and aquaculture in the Czech Republic, focusing on breeding common carp, sturgeon and some other species for aquaculture. The two sides also talked about each other's research and training programs. Ms. Lucie, who is in charge of training management of the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources Protection, introduced the training programs at the faculty and the doctoral training program in particular for the 2019-2020 school year to the researchers of RIA1, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and Fisheries and Technical Economic College (FTEC). 

In addition to activities at the Institute's headquarters, the delegation was also introduced to many aquaculture models and activities in Hanoi, Lao Cai, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong. Before the end of the visit, the two sides also discussed on the promotion of future cooperation between the two organizations and developed ideas for developing specific activities in the coming time.
